Susan and Dan met at the University of Scranton, Scranton, PA during the 1996-1997 academic year. Susie was a freshman pursuing a bachelor's degree in nursing and Dan was a sophomore in a five year master's degree program in physical therapy. It was not their academic programs but their extracurricular activities that brought them together - concert band, jazz band, and chorus.

Time passed. the relationship evolved, and on September 21, 2001 (Susie's brother Byron's birthday), in Colonial Williamsburg, Dan proposed. Shortly thereafter, the wedding date was set - October 5,, 2002 (Dan's sister Meghan's birthday).

After much investigation, the decision was made to use a wedding or event planner - sort of a one stop shopper. We chose Laurin Fegley of Simply Smooth - Events of Distinction. He provided the catering, cake, flowers, decorations, invitations, transportation, and also suggested a location, DJ and photographer.

Susie's bridal gown and attendants' gowns were purchased at Bridals by Sandra in Nazareth, PA. The men's tuxedo's were rented from C.E. Roth of Allentown, PA.

The rehearsal dinner was held at LeDue Restaurant on Brookside Road in Macungie, PA. Guests had the choice of a chicken, salmon, or filet mignon entree. Dessert was a birthday cake with ice cream in honor of Meghan Collier's birthday.

The wedding ceremony was held Saturday, October 5, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John's UCC on 6th and Walnut St. in Allentown, PA. The order of service and participants are found below.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Barrister's Club on 1114 W. Walnut St. in Allentown, PA. Maternal Grandfather of the Bride, Thomas R. Heinz provided piano music during the cocktail hour.
